Our Screening Process

All of our candidates have previous experience either as a nanny or in a daycare center. We ask the candidate to fill out the I-9 Form which we keep on hand (one will be filed by the employing family). This is the Employment Eligibility Form that states that the candidate is eligible to work in the United States.

Each candidate is required to provide:

  • Diplomas
  • Certificates (i.e. teaching certificates, etc.)
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Proof of Automobile Insurance
  • Driving Record (must be clean)
  • CPR Certification

We don't stop at checking employment references, like most placement services. Professional Childcare Solutions, Inc. utilizes psychological screening provided by Child and Family Support Services, LLC. A psychologist conducts an individual interview with the candidate to generate an evaluation for each candidate. The screening also includes a State of Ohio background check, and we can even do an FBI background check using electronic fingerprinting if requested by the family. Drug testing is required of all potential candidates to screen for drugs of abuse.

Step 1: Family Interview

We find out exactly what your family needs:

  • How many hours per week do you need?
  • What housekeeping and childcare responsibilities would the nanny have to assume?
  • What salary are you wanting to offer?

Next, we provide information on what questions you may want to ask the candidates during their interview. After we walk you through our contract, we accept the application fee. Sample copies of forms that you may choose to use are all provided.

Step 2: Candidate Interview

You and your family begin to interview candidates. You can contact us and give feedback on the interviewees to provide information on better matches for future candidates. Most families choose their candidate by their fourth prospective interview.

Step 3: Selection

The candidate is selected and the remainder of the fee is due.

Step 4: Everyone Lives Happily Ever After

Or, if the match falls apart for any reason within the first three months, we will provide another match for free. If the match ends within three to six months of the initial match, we offer you placement at a reduced fee.

We have structured our fees to make ourselves highly competitive with traditional licensed daycare centers. Please contact us for further information.
