Dr. Paulson has been listed in Who’s Who Among Human Service Professionals, Who’s Who of American Women and Who's Who in the Midwest. She has also been nominated to several honor societies including Psi Chi of the American Psychological Association, and was recruited by the White House Fellowship Program.

We are the only nanny placement agency in Central Ohio that is owned and operated by a psychologist.

It was while Dr. Paulson was looking for her own nanny that she began researching what psychological tests have been utilized to evaluate the quality of childcare providers. A review of the related literature revealed that very little has been done in this area. The idea of developing a nanny placement agency that would include psychological testing as part of a screening process was born out of this research.

In March of 2002, Professional Childcare Solutions, Inc. was created to provide such a service that would utilize extensive screening for providers seeking a position as a nanny, Mother’s Helper, or babysitter. Although it is impossible to eliminate all risk, we endeavor to reduce these risks associated with childcare placement through our screening process. The psychological and testing screening services are conducted by a psychologist, and all screening services are obtained from Child and Family Support Services, LLC. Professional Childcare Solutiuons, Inc. is the only childcare placement agency in Central Ohio that offers psychological testing, candidate interviews by a psychologist, FBI background checks and drug testing.

Dr. Mary Paulson has been delivering clinical services in the Central Ohio area since 1996. She was employed at Harding Hospital as a child and adolescent psychologist and was a member of the hospital's board of trustees. Harding Hospital combined services with Ohio State University to become OSU and Harding Behavioral Health Services. While at OSU she was given a clinical faculty appointment to the medical school through the department of psychiatry.

In addition to providing clinical services, Dr. Paulson has presented various seminars and conferences across the country, including a presentation at a conference for the American Psychological Association. She has also been called on to speak on various topics by local media groups including the Ohio News Network (ONN), and has been most recently featured on an ABC News feature entitled “Finding Mary Poppins” on WSYX.
